Botmaker is an official WhatsApp Solution Provider. We begin by opening a special WhatsApp account called Whatsapp Business Platform. It is not the same as the WhatsApp that people have on a phone, it's a version of WhatsApp that is installed on servers to be connected to systems in which you will be able to send and receive messages using Botmaker directly.

WhatsApp's interface for interacting with other systems, such as Botmaker in this case, is referred to as an API (Application Program Interface).

In short, we create the Whatsapp Business Platform account for you. We can also give you access to the platform, from which you can send and receive messages, connect multiple agents to respond simultaneously on the same number and create sophisticated bots with artificial intelligence.

WhatsApp has 3 products, among which there is no WhatsApp Business or Enterprise.

In order to open an account you must be an official registered business and have a Facebook Business Manager ID created and verified, which must be sent to our activations team. The activation process then consists of 4 stages, each requiring review and approval by WhatsApp Inc. and Botmaker's core team.

  1. Approval of the application to open an account.
  2. Review of compliance with the commercial policies of WhatsApp Inc.

If your account meets all the requirements, opening a new account can be completed in as little as 3 days. if for some reason you need to make corrections during the process, it can delay the validation process.

The Whatsapp Business Platform account must always have a phone number associated with it. However, as it is not an app that is installed on a phone, the phone number can be landline or mobile. If the number is from a mobile phone, it is important that it does not have a WhatsApp account of any operational type. Ideally, that phone number should not have had any active WhatsApp accounts in the last few months.

When we create the account, you will receive a call or SMS from WhatsApp Inc. to that number (landline or mobile) with an activation code. With this code we validate the account and the number is associated with the Whatsapp Business Platform account.
On the other hand, if it is a landline number, it should not be connected to any type of automated attendant or audible response unit.

Please note that, WhatsApp Inc. does not allow service portability of an activated Whatsapp Business Platform line. So, that number cannot be used for WhatsApp Business or the regular WhatsApp application afterwards.

Yes, you can have multiple Whatsapp Business Platform accounts, use them separately or connect them together to the same customer service team and bots.

Some Botmaker customers use a single customer service team with numbers in several Latin American countries. That is, they have a local number in each country, but a contact centre with dozens of customer service agents and bots answers centrally.

TPlease note that WhatsApp Inc. does not allow service portability of activated Whatsapp Business Platform lines. This means that this number cannot be reused for WhatsApp Business or the WhatsApp consumer application.

Facebook Business Manager is a platform created for businesses to manage their Facebook assets. The Business Manager ID is the business manager identification number of your Facebook Business Manager.

To find your Business Manager ID click here. Then select your business, there you will see and be able to copy your Business Manager ID.
